Indian Summer

This collection is a glimpse into the last days of warmth with an Indian Summer.  As the golden light bathes us, we feel  the heat of the sun on our skin.  Soaking in the hazy atmosphere is sweet like honey.  As we start to relax we keep our faces to the sunshine and let the shadows fall behind us.

Soft circular shapes and natural colours contrast against the bold pattern and colour of the inviting mellow orange like the shadows of the sun.  Movement versus rest, as we bask in its glory.  Inspiration was taken from my time in the Mediterranean as the days were becoming shorter and you take in all the warmth you can before the days become dark and cold.

Each painting was accompanied by a handmade wallhanging made by me.  I wanted to bring a Mediterranean feel to any wall in any home.  So that we can all live my beautiful experiences.
